Glad I'm not his/her daughter...but I feel so awful and afraid for the girl who is. :(

This person is a sure contender for the world's best parent award. /sarcasm.

also, I think this post should have a trigger warning.

I wonder how prevelant this attitude actually is. I've never told my mother about my rape because I've largely expected to be blamed for it, and I wasn't drinking. :|

Same, mostly because we were in a relationship she didn't approve of, to put it mildly, and I just know she'd blame me for it.

I saw it when it was posted and just about lost my head. Mostly because my family would probably hold much the same attitude. :/

Also joining in on the folks hoping this person's daughter is hypothetical.

Again with the hoping the daughter is hypothetical...or that she's old enough to find out it was her dad (why do I suspect it's Dad?) and can emancipate herself legally ASAP.

Sheesh. How much you wanna bet this dude was targeting drunk girls when he was a youngster?

See, and I was thinking it had to be a woman/mother -- mostly because I couldn't see a man actually acknowledging that such a thing is rape (and ESPECIALLY NOT if he did it himself when he was younger). :-/

I read it as the mother too. Weird.
